Read case →Typical pattern is 3 mats wide × 4 mats long under each track for tracked cranes, 2×2 under each outrigger for hydraulic cranes. Use 3/4 inch mats for 80-ton; 1/2 inch is sufficient for cranes up to ~25 tons. Soil bearing capacity matters — soft clay needs more mat coverage than firm sand.
Yes — we supply optional steel link plates that bolt through the mat handle holes, creating a continuous connected pathway. Not required for crane outrigger applications but useful for vehicle access roads.
Mats are stacked vertically on edge in 20-mat blocks, then strapped. We palletize using heat-treated wood with corner protection. Full container load is ~17 tons of mats, well within container weight limits.
Virgin HDPE has the longest service life (10+ years) and best UV stability. Recycled-content HDPE is ~25 % cheaper but may have slightly shorter life and color variation. For long-term rental fleet operators we recommend virgin; for one-project use recycled is a reasonable choice.
